Owensboro, Kentucky, April 18, 2016– KeeFORCE, a leading corporate I.T. service provider in Western Kentucky for 19 years, has announced Dalishas Desserts as the winner of the 2nd annual Owensboro Xtreme Business Makeover. The Xtreme Business Makeover represents a partnership of 16 successful, regional companies dedicated to helping other businesses grow and prosper in the Owensboro area. The project will provide Dalishas Desserts with a “business makeover package” to help energize and enhance their current business operations.
Applications were accepted during a six-week period in February and March from businesses in Daviess, Hancock and McLean Counties of Kentucky. Multiple local businesses applied for the $50,000 grand prize package. Each applicant then submitted a questionnaire related to their history and current business operations. A panel of independent judges from the region determined the top-3 applicants and the ultimate Grand Prize Winner. The judges where asked to make their determination based upon the criteria of “which business will benefit the most in the long term from the prize package being offered”. Top-3 finalists as determined by the panel of judges for the 2017 Owensboro Xtreme Business Makeover (in alphabetical order) were: Dalishas Desserts, Musick Studios, and Smith Hearing Healthcare, PLLC.
Dalishas Desserts has been around the Owensboro area for 10 years. Owner, Alisha Hardison, made wedding cakes for the first seven years out of her home. Three years ago, she decided to take it to the next step and open the dine-in bakery and café where she now has a staff who helps her create quality homemade specialty wedding cakes, desserts and serves lunch daily.

Dalishas Desserts will receive a Grand Prize worth $50,000 in free business products and professional services. The 2017 prize package includes valuable business products and services from the following 16 organizations; The Cromwell Group, Dialog Telecommunications, Ebelhar-Whitehead PLLC, Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce, Greenwell-Chisholm, Gorman Recruiting, KeeFORCE, Kentucky Innovation Network-Owensboro Office, Media Works Advertising, Messenger–Inquirer, Owensboro Community & Technical College’s Workforce Solutions, Owensboro Convention Center, Tanner Publishing Co., Thacker, Hodskins, & Knight, LLP, WFIE 14 News and 20/20 Xtreme.
