merryman house checkPADUCAH, KY, June 18, 2015 –The Merryman House Domestic Crisis Center has been announced as the winner of the 5th annual Xtreme Business Makeover Non-Profit Edition powered by KeeFORCE, Vue Magazine and a team of twenty-seven additional business partners.  The program was designed to showcase what local businesses have to offer the community by using their resources to help an existing organization find a higher level of success.  In the previous four contests, non-profit organizations were not eligible to compete.  In honor of the fifth annual event, a prize package was compiled to specifically address the needs of a non-profit organization.  All non-profit organizations in the Purchase Area of Kentucky who met minimal qualifications were invited to apply.  Each applicant completed an online survey composed of 13 questions related to their organization.  The applications and questionnaires were then submitted to a panel of judges for review.  The panel was composed of five independent judges from various backgrounds representing each Purchase Area county with an applicant in the contest.  The judges used the information provided by the applicants to determine the top-3 finalists.  Merryman House was selected as the winner based upon need, reach and long term impact the prize package would have on the organization.  The top-3 finalists in alphabetical order were Merryman House Domestic Crisis Center, New Pathways for Children and Starfish Orphan Ministry.

Merryman House Domestic Crisis Center was selected as the winner of the grand prize package valued at over $60,000 in cash, free business products and services.  The Merryman House organization has a 36 year history of providing assistance and advocacy to survivors of domestic violence for all ages, gender and ethnicity.

“There were so many worthy non-profit organizations that applied that it was truly a difficult task for the judges to narrow it down to one winner. KeeFORCE Announces 5th Annual Xtreme Business Makeover, Nonprofit Edition

One Local Nonprofit to Receive $60,000 Grand Prize Package

Paducah, Kentucky, April 2, 2015– KeeFORCE, the corporate I.T. service department for over 125 businesses in the Purchase Region, in partnership with Vue Magazine, announced the launch of the fifth annual Xtreme Business Makeover.  The Xtreme Business Makeover represents a partnership of 29 successful organizations dedicated to helping other businesses grow and prosper in the Purchase Area. Over the past four years, the project has provided one lucky winner each year with a “business makeover package” to help the organization take their business operations from ordinary to extraordinary!  For the first time in the contest’s history, the 2015 Xtreme Business Makeover is designed specifically to award one lucky nonprofit organization with a prize package worth over $60,000 in cash, business products and services. The contest is currently open to all nonprofit organizations in the Purchase Region of Kentucky which meet specific qualifications.  All applicants for the 2015 contest must be recognized as a 501 (c) (3) organization for a minimum of two years as of April 2, 2015 and must employ a minimum of two people. For profit organizations, home based organizations and churches are not eligible. PADUCAH, KY, April 23, 2014 –Posh Academy of Paducah was announced as the winner of the 4th annual Xtreme Business Makeover contest hosted by KeeFORCE and a team of twenty-one additional well-respected business partners. The contest ran from January through early April. The program was designed to showcase what local businesses have to offer the community, and to use those resources to help an existing business advance to a higher level of success. An independent judging panel of five community & business leaders was given the task of determining the top-3 finalists and the ultimate winner out of the numerous qualified applicants. Posh Academy emerged as the winner of the grand prize valued at nearly $45,000 in free business products and services. Posh Academy owners Eric and Jessica Hobbs have a combined total of 30-years of experience in the field of education. They believe that every human is born with gifts and talents and it is a true disservice to humanity for educators to try and categorize these gifts. Posh Academy students enjoy many unique experiences. These experiences fuel the children to explore deeper and also give them a huge boost of confidence and self-identity. Since opening their doors on June 1st, 2011, Posh Academy has seen significant growth using the Reggio Emilia approach to learning. Posh Academy operates with a staff of 5 talented, experienced, educated teachers and artists, 40 students along with the community of families who are excited about the opportunity Posh Academy provides their children.
